SIP is an abbreviation for structural insulated panel. Simply stated, SIPs are an engineered building component that consists of two sheets of plywood and a core of rigid foam. This 'sandwich' produces an incredibly strong, stable and highly insulated product. SIPs can be used to build walls, roofs, even foundation walls. Using SIPs can help create extremely airtight and energy efficient houses.  This technology is well established and tested.
